A crash means a race retirement from an accident, collision or spin. Starts exclude non-qualifications, non-starts and exclusions.History
The Pedralbes Circuit was a street course in the Pedralbes district, in the western part of Barcelona, Catalonia. It opened in 1946 and was run clockwise. The lap measured roughly 6.3 kilometres and included six corners. The layout was built around broad streets and long, sweeping bends.
Away from Formula One, the circuit staged the Penya Rhin Grand Prix in 1946, 1948, 1950 and 1954.
In the Formula One World Championship, Pedralbes hosted the Spanish Grand Prix twice, in 1951 and 1954. In 1951 Juan Manuel Fangio won for Alfa Romeo, and the drivers' championship was decided in that race. In 1954 Mike Hawthorn took the victory for Ferrari.
After tighter safety regulations were introduced in the wake of the 1955 Le Mans disaster, the circuit was permanently withdrawn from use as a racing venue. No further World Championship races were held there.
