Biography
Franck Lagorce, born on 1 September 1968, competed in French Formula Ford from 1987 to 1989. In 1990 he finished as runner-up in the French Formula Renault Championship. He moved up to French Formula Three in 1991 and took the title in 1992. He then spent two years in Formula 3000, winning four races and finishing second overall in 1994.
That same year he was a test driver for Ligier. He started the final two races of the 1994 Formula One season for the team, after Johnny Herbert had left for Benetton. His debut came on 6 November 1994, and he scored no championship points in either race. He stayed on as Ligier's test driver in 1995 and held the same role at Forti Corse in 1996, the year he won the Renault Spider Trophy. He later raced in production car and sportscar events.
