The Marina Bay Street Circuit, also known as the Singapore Street Circuit, is a street circuit around Marina Bay in Singapore. It lies in the planning areas of Downtown Core and Kallang, runs anti-clockwise and is 4.927 km long with 19 corners. It was designed by KBR as a modification of an original proposal by Hermann Tilke, and it holds an FIA Grade 1 licence. The pit area sits beside the Singapore Flyer, and the lap takes in the Padang, City Hall, the Anderson Bridge and the Fullerton Hotel. The race is run at night under around 1,600 custom-made floodlights.
With its harbourside setting, the track resembles Monaco and Valencia. Drivers criticised it as very bumpy, particularly on Raffles Boulevard, in hot and humid conditions. The high kerbs at the turn 10 chicane were lowered before Friday's practice and reduced again ahead of qualifying and the race. The chicane was reprofiled in 2010 and replaced in 2013 by a left-hander taken some 40 km/h faster on entry. In 2015 turns 11 to 13 were adjusted and the hairpin was widened by a metre, and turns 16 and 17 were reprofiled in 2018. In June 2022 work began to upgrade most of the asphalt. Before the 2023 race the layout was changed again: the section on the floating platform is bypassed, and a long straight on Raffles Avenue is used instead. Up to the 2024 race, every Grand Prix had at least one safety car period.
The first world championship race took place in 2008 and was won by Fernando Alonso for Renault. Singapore then hosted a race every year until 2019. There was no race in 2020 and 2021, and racing resumed in 2022, including 2026. Sebastian Vettel won five races here.
