Biography
Rodney Nuckey was born in Wood Green, London, on 26 June 1929. The British driver began his racing career in 500cc Formula 3.
He made his Formula One World Championship debut on 2 August 1953, driving a Cooper. He was entered again for 1954, but Eric Brandon took his place in the British Grand Prix, so he did not start a race that year. Nuckey scored no championship points. Outside the championship he finished third in the 1953 Syracuse Grand Prix and took part in many other non-championship Formula One races. He died in Manila, in the Philippines, on 29 June 2000.
