Biography
Oscar Larrauri was born on 19 August 1954 in Rosario, Argentina. He won the 1982 European Formula 3 Championship. He spent many years with Brun Motorsport in sports car racing, competing in the World Sportscar Championship, the IMSA GT Championship, the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft and the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship.
In 1988 Walter Brun joined forces with the Euroracing team to enter Formula One as EuroBrun, and Larrauri made his debut at the Brazilian Grand Prix that year. He qualified for eight of his 16 entries in 1988, with a 13th place in Mexico as his best finish and a 16th in Germany as his only other result. In 1989 he took part in only the final five Grands Prix and failed to pre-qualify each time. He finished his Formula One career without a championship point and returned to sports car racing. In 1992 he won the Porsche Cup, an award Porsche presents to privateer drivers using its cars.
