Biography
Nicolas Kiesa, a Dane, was born in Copenhagen on 3 March 1978. In 2003 he won a Formula 3000 race at Monaco.
That same year he reached Formula One, taking over the Minardi seat that Justin Wilson left when he moved to Jaguar. Kiesa made his debut at the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim and finished 12th. He saw the chequered flag in all five of his races, with 11th place at the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis his best result. He did not outqualify his team-mate Jos Verstappen at any race. He scored no points and ended the season 23rd in the drivers' standings. In 2005 he served as Jordan's third driver from the German Grand Prix onwards.
