Biography
Nasif Moisés Estéfano was born on 18 November 1932 in Concepción, in the Argentine province of Tucumán. The racing driver had Lebanese ancestry. He made his Formula One World Championship debut on 7 February 1960 in a Maserati. It remained his only World Championship start, and he scored no points. In 1962 he was entered in a De Tomaso for the Italian Grand Prix but failed to qualify for the race.
Estéfano died on 21 October 1973 during a local race in Aimogasta, in La Rioja province. A mechanical failure on his car led to the accident.
