Ken
Richardson
Biography
Ken Richardson was born in Bourne, England, in 1911. He began as an engineer at British Racing Motors and, in the early 1950s, became the main development driver on the BRM V16 project.
BRM entered him in the BRM 15, powered by the V16 engine, for the 1951 Italian Grand Prix. Richardson qualified tenth but was not allowed to start, as his lack of experience meant he did not hold the right racing licence. He made no further attempt to enter a World Championship race, but he carried on racing in sportscar and endurance events. Richardson died in 1997.
