Biography
Jimmy Reece was born in Oklahoma City in 1929 and was an American racing driver. He took part in AAA and USAC Champ Car races. He made six starts in the Formula One World Championship, all in the Indianapolis 500 in 1952 and from 1954 to 1958. That race counted towards the drivers' championship from 1950 to 1960. Reece drove cars built by Kurtis Kraft, Pankratz, Lesovsky and Watson, and he did not score any World Championship points.
In the 1954 AAA championship he finished joint fourth with Bill Vukovich.
Reece died on 28 September 1958 during a USAC Champ Car race at Trenton Speedway.
