In 1970 he entered a Brabham BT26 in the United States Grand Prix, which remained his only start in the Formula One World Championship. He retired after 21 laps with a loose fuel tank. When Formula A became Formula 5000, he stayed in the SCCA series, racing cars from Lola and March.
