Biography
François Picard was born in Villefranche-sur-Saône on 26 April 1921 and was a French racing driver. He started just one Formula One Grand Prix, on 19 October 1958, driving a Cooper. He scored no championship points.
During that race he ran into the Ferrari of Olivier Gendebien, which had spun in front of him. It was the last race of his career, as he never competed again. Picard died on 29 April 1996.
