Biography

Dino Beganovic was born on 19 January 2004 in Linköping, Sweden. He started karting at the age of seven and won several national titles, including the Swedish OK Junior championship in 2018. In 2019 he took the OK class titles in both Sweden and Italy and finished runner-up in the WSK Euro Series. He joined the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2020.

That same year he made his single-seater debut with Prema in Italian Formula 4. He won a race at Imola and finished third overall with six podiums and 179 points. In 2021 he raced for Prema in the Formula Regional European Championship, ending the year thirteenth. In 2022 he won four races in the series and clinched the title with 300 points. In the FIA Formula 3 Championship he finished sixth in the standings for Prema in both 2023 and 2024. He took four podiums in 2023, and in 2024 he won two races, in Melbourne and at Spa-Francorchamps, and claimed a pole position.

Towards the end of 2024 he stepped up to Formula 2 with DAMS for the final two rounds, and scored his first Formula 2 podium in the Abu Dhabi sprint race. In 2025 he contested his first full season with Hitech TGR and finished seventh in the championship. He won the sprint race in Baku, took pole position at Imola and stood on the podium four times. For 2026 he returned to DAMS.

For Ferrari he drove in free practice at the 2025 Bahrain and Austrian Grands Prix, in both cases in place of Charles Leclerc. In Bahrain he finished fourteenth in that session. At the end of 2025 he completed 122 laps in the young drivers' test at Abu Dhabi. In July 2025 he also tried a Formula E car for Mahindra at the rookie test in Berlin, finishing fifth in the morning session.
