Clive
Puzey
Biography
Clive Puzey was born on 11 July 1941 in Bulawayo, in present-day Zimbabwe. He began competing in the South African Formula One Championship in 1963 with a Lotus 18/21. In 1964 he won the Rand Autumn Trophy and finished seventh in the Rand Grand Prix, and in 1966 he took three podium finishes in the series. He kept racing in that championship until 1969.
His only entry in the Formula One World Championship came at the 1965 South African Grand Prix, in a Lotus-Climax. He failed to pre-qualify, so he never started a world championship race. He was one of just six drivers from Rhodesia to enter a round of the world championship.
