Biography
Bob Scott was born on 4 October 1928 in Watsonville, California, and was an American racing driver who competed in Champ Car racing.
He started one round of the Formula One World Championship in each of 1952, 1953 and 1954, and each time it was the Indianapolis 500. That race formed part of the World Championship from 1950 to 1960, which is why Indy 500 entrants appear in the championship records. Scott scored no championship points. His cars were listed as Kurtis Kraft in 1952, Bromme and Kurtis Kraft in 1953, and Schroeder and Stevens in 1954.
Scott died on 5 July 1954 in a crash during a Champ Car race at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.
