Biography
Eldon Robert Drake, known as Bob, was born in San Francisco on 14 December 1919 and died on 18 April 1990. The American was a racing driver, and also worked as a naval diver and a stunt performer.
He took part in just one Formula One World Championship race, the United States Grand Prix on 20 November 1960, starting in a Maserati 250F. He did not score any points. The 250F had a 2.5 litre front-mounted engine, and Drake was the last driver to use that model in a World Championship Grand Prix.
