Biography
Arthur James Bisch was born in Mesa on 10 November 1926 and was an American racing driver. He competed in Champ Car races of the USAC Championship.
In the Formula One World Championship he made a single start, in 1958, driving a Kuzma. He was an Indy 500 driver: the Indianapolis 500 counted towards the drivers' championship from 1950 to 1960, and that race was his only World Championship start. He did not earn a place in the final standings.
In June 1958 Bisch took his first Champ Car win at the Milwaukee Mile. In July 1958 his Champ Car crashed at Lakewood Speedway, and he died two days later, on 6 July 1958, aged 31.
