Biography
Andy Sutcliffe was born on 9 May 1947 in Mildenhall, Suffolk. He began racing in 1969 and competed in Formula Three from 1970 to 1973. In 1974 he took part in the European Formula Two Championship, driving a BMW-powered March 732 run by Brian Lewis, and finished tenth overall.
In 1977 he was entered for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in a March 761 from the RAM Racing team. He did not get through pre-qualifying and so never started a race in the Formula One World Championship. Sutcliffe died on 13 July 2015.
