Biography
Alfredo Pián was born on 21 October 1912 in Las Rosas, Argentina. He was entered for the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix in the Formula One World Championship, driving a Maserati 4CLT run by Scuderia Achille Varzi.
During Saturday practice he had set the sixth quickest time so far when he spun on an oil patch and hit the barrier. He was unable to take part in the race. His only entry in the championship therefore ended without a start. The accident brought his racing career to an end. Pián died on 25 July 1990.
