Biography
Alessandro Pesenti-Rossi was born in Bergamo on 31 August 1942. He was a regular race winner in Italian Formula Three and narrowly missed the 1975 title: the final race was abandoned because of rain while he was leading, and he lost out to Luciano Pavesi by a single point. In 1974 he had contested two Formula Two events, scoring points in both. In 1975 he was signed by the Bergamo-based Scuderia Rondini, and he finished second at Mugello in a March 742.
In 1976 he competed in Formula One in a privately entered Tyrrell. He had four entries and started three races. He finished all three but scored no championship points. After that he went back to Formula Two with Alfa Romeo. Pesenti-Rossi died on 21 February 2026 at the age of 83.
