Biography

Alain Carpentier de Changy was born in Brussels on 5 February 1922 and died on 5 August 1994. The Belgian driver was entered for just one Formula One World Championship race, the 1959 Monaco Grand Prix, in a Cooper run by Ecurie Nationale Belge. He failed to qualify, so he never started a championship race. Alongside this brief Formula One appearance, he also competed in sports car racing.
